Venezuelan authorities meet UN representatives

New York City, 28th July 2015 – After a meeting with Ban Ki-moon, the President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, organized a press conference for international media.

The president clarified that the objective of his visit to that International Law instance was to refer to the sovereignty of Venezuela over the Guayana Essequibo territory which was supported by the Geneva Agreement, guaranteed by the UN and signed in 1966.

23072015ddhhCaracas, 22nd July 2015 – the Venezuelan Minister of Foreign Affairs, Delcy Rodríguez, took part in a meeting with the representatives of the UN programs where she talked about the National Plan of Human Rights recently presented by the Bolivarian Government. She described the meeting as constructive and positive exchange.

She emphasized that the National Executive Power has received congratulations due to the structure of the plan, focused on human rights in Venezuela and aimed at participation of children, teenagers, adults and elderly people.
